    30 Years and counting

It amazes me how the years have passed.  I never imaged I would make it to 30, it seemed so old while I was growing up now here I am.  I had these same wonderings a few years ago.  To celebrate my family visited me in San Jose and then I went on a road trip. I visited my grandparents in Mesa, Mom in Flagstaff, and caught up with an old friend in Vegas.  It was a lot of miles, just under 1800, but it was a blast!  I had planned a much longer one originally, and a bit party for my 30th but neither happened.  The big party got canned due to work pretty much taking over everything from March to late June.  The road trip went out the window as I watched gas prices climb and climb.  It amazes me how much it has gone up since I moved to NYC.  I think it was around $1.50 when I left for NYC and I was complaining then.  Now it is $4.60 on a lucky day and it hurts.
